There are many other things I’m working on or tinkering with, but most of them aren’t really ready to be shown here.
Most notably, I once attempted to develop a 2D shoot ’em up for the Nintendo Switch. However, I abandoned the project a long time ago due to its tedious development process.
Here are some additional projects I worked on in the past that aren’t VR, but may still be related to it.
Commodore Amiga 500: Cactus Cowboy – Desert Warfare Demo/Cracktro
A short demo created for the legendary Commodore Amiga 500 — my teenage computer. Probably the most unusual piece of VR-related advertising you’ll see in a while.
Feel free to run it on original hardware or in an emulator.
Mixed Reality Maintenance and Customization on a Surron Lightbee
I haven’t done much with MR technology lately, but here’s a proof-of-concept app for Quest 3 that shows how I imagine manuals, repair guides, and even guided troubleshooting in the near future.
I’ve used my Surron as an example here, but this approach could apply to anything — from assembling furniture to performing complex technical tasks.
Mixed reality has the potential to break down complicated processes into simple, step-by-step instructions that anyone can follow. Instructions as we know them are about to change.
Complexity is, in my opinion, an underestimated problem — one that can only be addressed with better guidance and clearer manuals. Mixed reality might be the key to solving it.
